What is kidZone?

KIDZONE is a program for kids 1st – 6th grades every Sunday morning.

Each program includes games, music, relevant lesson and lasts one hour.

WHAT IS CAMP DISCOVERY?

Camp Discovery is a week jam-packed with extreme goodness, fun, messes and memory-making moments!

It’s also known as Vacation Bible School.

Camp Discovery is for children 4 years old through 6th grade. The morning sessions are hosted on the campus of the church and will include games, lessons, music and snacks. Morning sessions are free.

Discovery Trips are off-campus trips and are for 1st – 6th graders. We are taking Discovery Trips to Frankenmuth Aerial Park or Wilderness Trails Zoo (your choice; 6 years and younger will go to the Zoo), Bluebell Beach Splash Pad, Skyzone of Saginaw and Pintown Lanes. The total cost for the 4 trips is $55 (includes entry, snack and transportation provided by New Lothrop Schools).

Discovery Trips are available to children 4 years old through kindergarten if accompanied by an adult and family members provided their own transportation. The cost for children 4 years old through kindergarten is $40.

WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?

Camp Discovery is June 18 – 21 (Monday – Thursday).

Morning sessions run from 9 to 11:45am each day. Please arrive a few minutes earlier to account for registration, etc.

Discovery Trips are the off-campus trips; they run from 11:45am to 3:30pm each day.

WHAT ARE DISCOVERY TRIPS?

Discovery Trips are off-campus trips and are for 1st – 6th graders. We are taking Discovery Trips to Frankenmuth Aerial Park or Wilderness Park Zoo (your choice), Bluebell Beach Splash Pad, Skyzone of Saginaw and Pintown Lanes. The total cost for the 4 trips is $55 (includes entry, snack and transportation provided by New Lothrop Schools).

WHAT ABOUT LUNCH?

If your child is going on a Discovery Trip, you need to provide a lunch for them. They can bring their lunch to them during the Morning Session and we can refrigerate it for them.

A snack will be provided during the Discovery Trips.

WHAT DOES MY KID NEED TO BRING?

If your child is going on a Discovery Trip, you need to provide a lunch for them. They can bring their lunch to them during the Morning Session and keep it in a safe place. Make sure to include an ice pack to keep their lunch cold.

Discovery Trip Supplies

Monday (Fraknenmuth Aerial Park or Wildnerness Park Zoo): Athletic wear, closed toe shoes, hair tie to keep hair tied back, lunch

Tuesday (Bluebell Beach Splash Pad): Towel, bathing suit, sunscreen, sandals, sunglasses, lunch

Wednesday (SkyZone): Athletic wear, lunch, extra spending $$$ if desired

Thursday (Pintown Lanes): Socks, lunch, extra spending $$$ if desired

DISCOVERY TRIPS

11:45am – 3:30pm every day

MONDAY

Frankenmuth Aerial Park or Wilderness Trails Zoo

Kids ages 7+ will go to Frankenmuth Aerial Park. Participants fly through the air, swing through trees and challenge themselves on an aerial obstacle course.

Kids 6 and under (and those that don’t wish to climb) will go to Wilderness Trails Zoo in Birch Run. The Zoo has 56 acres of natural surroundings to see exotic animals such as primates, zebras, lions, reptiles, and parrots. There’s a petting area and parakeet encounter for an up close and personal adventure with the animals.

Make sure to bring athletic wear, closed toe shoes, hair tie to keep hair tied back and lunch.

TUESDAY

Bluebell Beach Splash Pad (Flint)

Bluebell Beach is where you’ll find sun, sand, water, pavilions and a Splash Pad for the kids. Bluebell Beach is located near Crossroads Village.

Make sure to bring a towel, bathing suit, sunscreen, sandals, sunglasses and your lunch.

WEDNESDAY

Sky Zone (Saginaw)

Skyzone is an indoor trampoline park with trampoline dodgeball and dunking, foam pit, a warrior course and more.

Make sure to bring athletic wear, lunch and extra spending $$$ if you want to buy snacks, etc.

THURSDAY

Pintown Lanes (Chesaning)

Pintown Lanes is a bowling alley and family entertainment center in Chesaning.

Make sure to bring socks, lunch and extra spending $$$ if you want to buy extra snacks or play other games.
